Chirp - April 2025 Update
Chirp’s AI platform connects fragmented sales data and enriches it. Whilst Chirp’s AI agent, Birdie, surfaces insights, qualifies deals, and takes the next best action to close deals and drive sales velocity.
We know sales teams are spending more than 72% of their time not selling and we’re here to change this.
Unlike generic AI agents that you’re expected to build yourself, Chirp connects your data to an LLM that is fine tuned using sales methodologies and hones in on what matters to sales people.
Overview
Since the rise of cloud and CRMs in the early 2000s, adoption of sales tech tools has amassed billions.
In the 2010s we saw the rise of API data sharing and tools like Zapier, Make or other middleware rise to help people connect their tools.
But the data is everywhere, the CRM was once the source of truth but that is no longer. CRM has a major challenge particularly when it comes to AI - it’s garbage in, garbage out.
On average, sales teams are using about seven different tools in their tech stack.
Every sales rep records notes differently, updates systems differently or doesn’t update them at all.
Where does this leave revenue teams then? Well, blind. The saying, ‘it's hard to see the wood for the trees’ would be an understatement.
We have a fundamental belief that connecting these fragmented data sources is the solution to find clarity in the data chaos. Further, we believe that with the rise of agentic AI, reps will never have to enter manual data into their systems again.
The current state of play
80% of customer conversations are happening outside of email. Places like Slack, WhatsApp, face-to-face and call recordings are all places of customer connection. This means customer data is everywhere.
Zapier duct-tape
CROs and sales teams are stuck trying to connect systems with tools like Zapier — clunky, fragile, and built for a different era.
Zapier can automate basic tasks, but it lacks sales context, intelligence, and becomes expensive fast. It was made for web 2.0 marketing workflows, not the agentic AI era.
Sales teams need something smarter, built for how they actually work.
The CRM ‘dumb’ database
CRMs have hostages not customers.
They were built to be the central source of truth for sales teams, but in reality, they’ve become rigid, admin-heavy systems that people tolerate, not love.
After over 250 customer conversations, we haven’t met a single rep who enjoys using the CRM, and yet it’s still where they’re expected to live.
The problem? The data inside is average, because it’s input inconsistently by people under pressure to just log something and move on. And when you’re querying average data, you get average results.
CRMs were never designed for dynamic workflows, fast-changing deal environments, or AI-powered insights. They’re repositories, not agents. They store information, but they don’t understand it. They don’t take action, connect context, or drive momentum. That’s why, over time, they’ll become relegated to what they were always best at: being a ‘dumb’ database.
The future of sales doesn’t live in the CRM. It sits on top of it, where intelligence, automation, and contextual guidance can finally do what the CRM never could: actually help people sell.
User ingenuity
Users of CRMs are gagging for solutions and sharing hacks on how they’re saving time on their admin in the current state of play.
Watch this video of Gong’s, Brian Lamanna, show how he’s using GPTs to summarise his information and then copy and pasting that into the CRM.
View this post from Tom Wentworth about how AEs hate filling in Salesforce and the hack he created on Zapier to remove this friction.
Needless to say, times are changing. With new technology like agents, AI and ML trained on sales methodologies, these manual processes can be eradicated.
Strategy
Part I: Connecting to the system of record and the broader sales stack offers clarity, authority and trust.
The deeper and broader the extensibility for Chirp, the more data can be run through the sales-specialised LLM and agent - the more clarity can be gained on deals.
Reps will have a unified interface that surfaces real-time insights, helps them focus on deals actually worth the chase and speed up their lead to close.
Part II: Agentic AI unifies the GTM stack and takes the next best action to drive sales
Chirp’s AI agent Birdie can bridge the gaps between the data siloes and act as the unifying force across the GTM stack.
Here’s how Birdie drives value throughout the sales cycle:
- Pre-Meeting: auto-preps reps with key context, recent updates, company news, and tailored agendas, so they walk in ready to build rapport.
- During the Meeting: listens in to capture key info and surface real-time prompts, like objection handling, follow-ups, or deal insights.
- Post-Meeting: auto-updates the CRM, drafts follow-ups, schedules next steps, and suggests the best action to move the deal forward.
As an agent, Birdie handles admin work and uses sales intelligence to drive smarter next steps—boosting focus, data accuracy, and overall sales effectiveness.
Part III: The owner of a unified, intelligent interface that tells the holistic deal story wins
The sales rep of the future will interact with a system that feels more like a collaborative partner than a tool.
The key to winning in today’s fast-paced, data-driven sales environment is a unified, intelligent interface that tells a comprehensive story of each deal. How?
- Conversational interactions: Simple voice or text commands, to pull deal updates or draft follow-ups.
- Centralised deal information: All deal notes, insights, transcripts centralised, giving reps a complete picture.
- Surfacing real-time insights: Reps can prompt Birdie anytime for instant context.
- Breaking down silos: Birdie shares insights from across the sales org, turning individual learnings into team-wide advantages.
- The AI as the hero’s sidekick: Birdie boosts rep productivity by handling admin and surfacing key insights—so reps can move faster and sell smarter.
Chirp’s AI works within sales teams workflow and tech stack. Reps will no longer be buried in administrative tasks, but empowered by an AI agent that understands the sales process and takes action.
Our data flywheel shows the constant cycle of self-improving sales intelligence as a growth engine.

The GTM stack in 2025
In 2025, the average go-to-market stack is bloated and disconnected.
The next evolution of the GTM stack isn’t about more tools, it’s about orchestration and action.
Birdie unlocks this shift.
Instead of reps toggling between fragmented systems, Chirp acts as an intelligent layer across the stack:
- One unified interface to interact with deals via chat or natural language
- Real-time insight on deal context, risks, objections, and next steps
- Autonomous agents that take the next best actions
Founders and CROs are overwhelmed by tools, but they’re willing to pay for leverage. Our wedge is clear: start where the sales pain is sharpest, manual work (CRM updates), deal chaos, and pipeline guesswork and automate it.
From there, Chirp can expand horizontally as the system that knows what’s happening in every deal and what needs to happen next.
That’s how we win: not by replacing the GTM stack, but by cleaning the data and connecting it effectively.
Product overview

The AI Agent for B2B Sales Teams

Why it matters:
Chirp partners with sales people to make them 10 times more productive.
In fact, 83% of sales teams reported revenue growth when implementing AI.
50% of sales teams saw a reduction in their sales cycle.
40% saw enhanced productivity.
And it’s only the beginning.

Competition
Chirp’s competition broadly fits into two categories: Agents that can automate human tasks, and Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) that provide knowledge to humans.
GPTs
Specialised GPTs are emerging that use defined knowledge sets, and these are normally focused on specific departments, like sales (Chirp), customer success (Cor.ai) or marketing (Copy.ai).
Generalised GPTs like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc are well known and being used daily by over 400 million people worldwide.
Agents
In the agent space, there are 'build your own' agent platforms like Agentforce (Salesforce), Relevance.ai and Sana Agents. This is where the user needs to have a technical understanding in order to 'program' the agent. In large companies, this will exist typically as a technical business analyst.
Chirp is designed for non-technical users, like sales people.
Chirp combines agents with a specialised GPT that knows your sales process intimately.

Why now?
The sales tech landscape is at a tipping point. In just a few years, go-to-market stacks have exploded. Sales reps are drowning in data, yet starving for insight.
Generative AI has reached a level of maturity that makes intelligent, proactive automation not only possible, but expected. Yet most AI tools in market today either demand heavy customisation or solve only narrow parts of the sales workflow.
Chirp was built to meet this moment. We're creating a sales-specialised, agentic AI platform that automates the painful admin, unifies scattered data, and empowers reps to focus on what they do best, building relationships, qualifying the right deals, and winning more often.
In five years, interactions with the sales systems will be entirely conversational, via chat, voice, or agentic workflows. The question is no longer if, but who will define that interface. We believe it won’t be the legacy players, it will be purpose-built products like Chirp, grounded in deep sales domain expertise.
This isn’t just about plugging gaps, it’s about building the AI-native sales stack of the future.
